No, no, you have your facts confused. They were using a Fabspeed 'GT2' strut bar to spread the load between the halves of the forward sling when the bar failed, causing the sling to violently snap. Intense scrutiny revealed that the mounting holes of the strut bar had been elongated or ovalized.
