A couple of the comments, though, are amusing.

Mobile devices are the worst place to use finger print biometric... If the phone is lost or stolen, the crocks will potentially get a copy of my unique and un-alterable finger print from the flash memory stored in the phone... along with other sensitive info/contact.

I expected no more from a company who has not figured out how to do iPod or Bluetooth. But they do make great cars.
