Car won't start...need help :(
last night I went to my garage to test out my HIDs....played with them for a bit. 5 mins.....on off on off, etc.....
This morning I go down to the garage.
bad sign #1) The lights on the door for the alarm werent flashing.
bad sign #2) The remote would not unlock the doors, I had to open the lock manually.
final bad sign) The car wouldnt start. I turn the key and I get Nothing, zilch, no sound, no turn over, nothing.
After reading evertying about DME, I had a spare and swapped it out...still nothing......
could it be the battery, could the HIDs have drained it out......please help a friend in need!

Sounds like the battery. I am having the same problem right now. Car cranks over strong but will not fire up. I changed the DME but that wasn't it. In your case, the motor does not turn over, therefore I believe you probably have a short draining your battery. Try and jump start it and then find your short.

You can rule out the DME.
Check your connections and find the drain.
I think you mentionned a problem with the HID
a little while ago? ... perhaps it's related.
best of luck

Sounds like you drained your battery dead especially if your interior lights and radio don't turn on. Ideally you should put it on a charger and let it recharge. It'll take awhile to charge it backup but your car's already in the garage. This is what I would do. If you call AAA for a boost you'll need to drive it around for a awhile to re-charge the battery.

+1 ...... invest in a ~$15 digital voltmeter, if you do not have one: it will save you $$$$$
A healthy battery should read 12.3 - 12.6v at the terminals - and ~14 v with the motor ( and alternator) running. If you measure <12v, the battery is flat, and needs to be recharged.
