My battery is fine. fully charged and load tested. The mechanic says that I have a short somewhere, and since the last thing I did was install the HID, it is probably them.

any ideas?

update.....993_SC came over today and we did some tests to see where the sort could be coming from. everything looked ok....the only thing Spyro (993_SC) noticed is that a couple of the connections for the HID (the bullet connection for the ground) was not taped up and was exposed. It being stuffed in the housing may have touched something like the high beam connection, and caused a short, so we taped it up........

time will tell if that does the trick!
Any opinions welcomed.....and thanks again Spyro!

Hmm. That's possible. If that was the location of the short, then your high beams (at least on the side(s) touching) wouldn't work (since they would have shorted to ground). In my HID install, I didn't tape the ground connection either, but doing so isn't a problem.

You could always revert back to the halogens for a few days to see if the short goes away, as a process-of-elimination effort.

Hope this helps...

Best,

Chris
