Saturday is our biggest day of this race weekend, Sunday there are some great races but you don't want to miss the race into the darkness. It's worth seeing the glow of hot brake rotors and exhaust.
I may have an extra ticket or two, pm me if you want. I'm at the victory circle
all weekend, stop by and say hello, may have the C4S parked there. It's right
on the pit lane, where the last garage is. We have a motorhome at the foot of the steps that lead up to victory circle.
This race is a zoo at the end, I have to have 50+ bottles of champagne chilled
and all the trophies ready to go. It gets a bit crazy.

Out here on the other coast things get started on Weds and conclude Sat eve.
And there are other differences; e.g. there is only one IMSA GT3 race at Road Atlanta- not two. That race is Friday- I was there for qualifying today. Should be a good race.

Scott!
I guess we missed you somehow. I think we saw your car in the Porscheplatz... but no ducktail?
If that was yours, it looks great! I like the Carrera script even more in person... must have been a different car?

Here is a raw unedited set of pics my wife dumped onto Snapfish. If you view them hang in there, there are actually some good ones further in. Use the scrollbar at the bottom to find pics you might want to see.

Some very nice cars there.

Wow! There are some nice shots in there. I watched the race on Speed Saturday Night and the TV
cameras really flatten out the corkscrew. Your pics really show the drop in elevation through that
portion of the course.

Agreed! I watched part of the race last nite via TiVo and noticed the Corkscrew looked deceptively flat. The pic of the 2 Spyders (below) heading down the turn was taken a fraction of a second after the car in front locked up the brakes coming into the corner (during warm up). They come up the hill at like 150mph and it is really blind. If you look carefully you can see tire smoke behind the second car... and the very different lines they ended up taking

There really is a huge elevation drop... very cool to watch. Especially when one of the Ferraris took the shortcut through the gravel and down the hill during warm-up laps...

What a great weekend!
