53 when I bought the car, but driving it makes me feel like 25 (well, maybe 35).
You didn't ask, but I was 33 when I bought my 1986 911 cab, and 46 when I bought my 1984 911 coupe (since replaced by the 993 track car). Now I'm 55 - how'd that happen so fast?! |
surprised that I am in the highest range! (at 35)

My Targa is my first Porsche (of many more, I hope). I bought it at age 26, and will be 32 next month. I voted according to my current age, FWIW...

Bought my first 911 ('72 S) in 1976. Owned several since, and now have enjoyed my 993 C4S for 8 years. Guess my age.

I see the 40-45 has taken the lead! Woo hoo!
Not that anyone's age matters, we are all here for a common love of our cars regardless of sex, age religion etc... this is a fun thread though. |
How about a twist on this poll...?
What's your total # of years of Porsche ownership? Multiple cars count (i.e. if you've had three Pcars for the past 5 years, that's 15 years). Any 100-year owners out there? (PS - my embarasssingly low number is 9, but I'm working on it daily...Dad had them continuously from 1961 through 2006) |
18 years 2 Porsches 275K miles total.

I'm 27 but officially not a Porsche owner anymore.. But will be probably in a couple of months.. I had my first 911 for a bit more than a year (bought when 26). I love Porsches and especially 993s. Now it's time to find the keeper. That one I won't sell it unless I really have to or because it means replacing it with another 993 :D

I purchased my first porsche from my parents, a 1980 928 when I was 32 (can you believe my parents actually made me pay for that money pit?) About $18,000 in receipts later (including about $5,000 in slippery slope costs) I realized buying a 993 would be a better car for about the same monthly cost (payment versus repair bills). I hung onto the 928 until about a year and a half ago and never looked back. So I guess I'm at about 8 years of Porsche ownership. I put on about 90,000 miles between the two cars. I just picked my 993 up from my mechanic a few minutes ago, man I love this car!!!!

My wife got a 68 912 before we were married, so I guess I can only count the years we were married until we got rid of it, so that is 7, then I had a 80 911SC for 10 years, and the 993 for 9 months now. so I am closing in on 18 years.
My wife had the car for about 5 years before we got married, so she can claim 23 years of ownership. |
I am old
Bought my first Porsche at age 23 and I'll be 59 next spring, I hope:bowdown:
