Slightly OT: 993 Racecar Histories
I picked up these UT models a number of years ago at a local Swap Meet
and have never been able acquire any accurate and definitive info on the
histories of the actual racecars that these models represent. The Repsol
car appears to be from a European Series and the Superflo from
Speedvision Cup (?). Does anyone know? With the knowledge base on
this board someone has to know.

Really can't help you there, but a nice addition to your collection may be the 962 de Orleans and Saldana piloted at le Mans in '95. It is for sale here :

It may be slightly more expensive than the UT's though.

I will check on these for you, but I know the Superflo Tiger car was originally a Supercup car, it ran in the USRRC series, and was the poster car for the 12 hours of Sebring back in the 90s. It might have run in Speedvison, but I doubt it would have been eligble based on the rules. I almost bought the original car several years ago until I found out it was a modified Supercup.
The Repsol car was a GT2 and I believe I saw it race at the 24 hours of Daytona back in the 90s. I have the Porsche Sport Year books, I will check on both cars.
