Previously owned a 1969 911E. After 5 yrs of looking, finally found a one-owner 993 in very good cosmetic condition, but with high miles (80k) and ‘mechanically original’ – i.e. original leaking green Monroe struts, ruptured CV boots, clicking lifters, etc., in need of a major service. Exactly what I was looking for, as my retirement present (professional mechanical engineer). Six months and ~$6k put into full front and rear suspension rebuilds, wheel bearings, CV joints, new lifters, spark wires, distributor drive belt, filters, Pilkington windscreen, instrument cluster faces, new Michelins, and a visit from the Ding Doctor. Now the car is a pleasure drive.

As it seems that the excel sheet of this data is missing, so I went through and created a new one. I make no guarantees that there are not mistakes.
I'm not sure of the best way to distribute this info. I could potentially update the spreadsheet from time to time, but I can't say that I'd do it in a timely fashion. Also, does anyone know a good way to make this accessible, so that users don't have to dig up page 35 of the thread?
A few observations about the data (and maybe complaints because this was a pain in the ***!):
-Very few automatics, and I know the 993 turbos are rare, but there are only 3 in here!
-A lot of RL users have trouble following directions in filling out this info
-There is a surprising amount of condition 9+ cars. I think that many people have a different opinion of what 9 means. Maybe this is a slight exaggeration, but I saw things like:
Interior Condition: 9 - Steering wheel well worn, some trim missing, leather cracked but otherwise good
Mechanical Condition: 9 - needs a new clutch, alignment was terrible, leaking oil from RMS, sunroof doesn't work, but needs nothing else
I plan to make a few more graphs and upload it to my website later when I have time, but for now, here is the first graph that I made:
Note: I wasn't sure of the best way to fit an accurate trendline to each data set. Also, I don't think that there is really enough data for them to be useful (for example, there are fewer C4 coupes vs. C2 coupes, and there are 2 very high C4 outliers which I think inflate the trendline.
Good graph- and agree with your assessment on ratings. Everyone buys the 8+ car. Maybe some ground rules on this. Haggerty is rating cars 1-4 maybe we follow this? My car is NOT a 1 by their standards. It's a high 3, low 2 - but also has 105K on the clock so that probably pushes it down- so maybe it should be more of a 6 or 7 by this scale. Would be very interesting to know how miles affects ratings in their book and possibly follow it here. Either way, love to see the trends. Thanks for pulling this all together.

Since there is already 8 years worth of data in here, I don't think that it's worth trying to make rules at this point.
I was thinking to figure out a way to graph by mileage or condition also.
Here are a few more that I have made in the meantime. I learned that there were no C4 automatics, and no C4 Targas!
Unfortunately, there is very little automatic data, so this chart is not super useful. At least it shows that we have more driving enthusiasts on the forum!
