This is an absolutely gorgeous car! -- Congrats.

This would be high on my list in terms of 993 spec if I was to pull the trigger.

It's amazing that it's $25K more, 15-20 years old

My breakdown of the same data...

It'll be interesting to see how pricing is affected now that Hagerty has published their valuations for 993s.

C4S...

Didn't do C2S because sample size is too small to make any "trend"

Quick summary:
- Prices have been on a sharp up-trend since 2011/2012, even steeper climb since 2014
- NB price vs. mileage is about $5k for every 1k miles/yr
- C4S price vs. mileage is about $13k for every 1k miles/yr
- NB price sensitivity to mileage has remained stable over the past 10 years
- C4S price sensitivity to mileage has increased sharply in the last couple of years

No, I used miles/year in order to make direct comparison across model years.

Since 96 are 20 years old at this point, for easy math, I'll use that as an example (even though there are no 96 C4S)

The data shows that a 96 C4S with 40k miles (2000 miles per year) is currently commanding $13k higher than the same car with 60k miles (3000 miles per year)

What do you mean there are no '96 C4S- I have one.... There are a lot of them..

Not sure I follow the math either. nonetheless I've seen anywhere from 10-20K premiums for S cars over NB's.

Thanks for pulling this together.

I think the 1-10 is very subjective, I would say I have high standards but that's just me.
It scored low in mechanical because, the thru bolts are leaking and the engine is coming out.
It scored lower in exterior because, the paint needs a little TLC and then it should score higher.
It scored lower in interior because, It has one seat with a hole in it, even though the rest of the interior is in great condition.

Was talking to someone this weekend who sold his (97?) C2s with 11k miles on it for 200k. Food for thought.
