CEL SAI Code - Port Flush in Seattle ?
Has anyone had any port flush success with any shops in Seattle after getting the CEL SAI code? I checked with Akers, but they don't think the procedure has a very high success rate.

I have seen the same thing as Dennis. The Seattle shops would rather do invasive surgery. I would make a trip to Portland to see Steve W. and stay at the Kennedy Schoolhouse...

I am going to see John Walker sometime this week and I will ask him if he knows any shops up here that can do the flush with a degree of skill. I am assuming that John doesn't do them...

Hi Folks,
Yes, Chris's German Auto is experienced in this. They have even gone beyond the standard fluid flush and created a sort of roto-router device to help with the process. They're also the friendliest Porsche shop I've ever been in, so they'll be happy to talk to you about their methodology.
I was actually at Chris's earlier this week and discussed their process at length. While replacing a lower valve cover gasket, they checked on my passages and it looks like I will need to do this before too long. (My car is currently around 65k miles; so far no Check Engine light.)
In any case, give them a call or stop by.

Hi Robert, do you have the phone number for Chris German auto. So far no light either but with 75000 miles on my 96 coupe might be time. Royal NOT A USER, membership #000917-2094

Are all of you folks assuming the flush will hold for any length of time, or are you just trying to pass an emissions test. If it is not a glogged valve (which it could be) you run a real chance of this just recurring if you have some valve guide wear (which we all do)..
