Soaring 993 Turbo Prices !!! (in Hong Kong)
Here in hong Kong, there is a Black 993 '96 Turbo on sale at Car City for HKD880k!!! Thats about USD115k (ex-rate of 7.8) for the seppos amongst us.
I spoke with the dealer and he said that a similar car traded at HKD650 last year but supply has dried up. The town is awash with cash and cars here, these days, are like Chinese A-Shares (yeah I am sick of talking about it too, but this is a tulip market over here).
So for those of you who dont know my story, I sent my 993 back to Oz a month ago and bought a mates F355 spider. I asked the dealer what my Ferrari is now worth and he said it would fetch "towards 900k" since there is, again, "no stock around" - hey, I bought the Spider for HKD690 a month ago in a private sale - FIGJAM !!!!
We are just about to "celebrate" the 10year anniversary of the "Handover" of HK, and I can tell you that circa '97 it was almost exactly the same. Luxury cars were "bid only" and new stock was only available to previous customers - sound familiar? Guess how that ended?
Anyways, its good news for those of you long-a-Turbo. I am seriously thinking flicking the Spider for it now (if only it was a soft-top!).

it's blue and the price even went up (slightly) from last week. prices have skyrocketed because most have gone to the land down-under..!
got any more mates who have a F355 for sale? too bad the yellow at cc has a tragic interior. don't suppose your driving around w a personalized plate..?

There's another Horizon blue 993TT asking 748k in HongKong now (physically located at Kowloon Bay - Exclusive cars dealer)... I recalled this one was asking 650k via private sale and finally sold at 590k 2 months ago... Not sure why this car on sale again now, perhaps the new owner tempted to make $$$

it's not the price of the car itself, it's the import duties that get you (about 70-80% IIRC)

hi jason, no need for personalised plate in the Fezza, it seems to get more attention than a 10 year old car deserves.
Its dark blue with bone interior, not many around so's hard to miss.

Harry,
Its not a widebody, not a TT - i think a single turbo, and is just well.... unique I spose.... if you like that sort of thing.
An orphan IMHO.
