Tire Pressure -Toyo T1-R
I have a set of toyo t1-r's on my 993. I was not thrilled with thier performance at the track last weekend. Anyone use these at the track and want to share the pressures you run?
Thanks
Jeff

Were you guys running those pressures front and rear? What size tires.
This was the first real heat cycle. Tires had about 200 miles on them before that event, but they were greasey as hell. I was also running a lot less pressure up front - 32lbs. I was all set to toss them out, maybe i'll try them at 1 more event.
Thanks

I think I start at 34f/32r and they grow to around 40 f&r. Keep in mind that my suspension settings might be diferent that yours.
I switched to the RA-1's at Miller Motorsports Park in the middle of a NASA time trial event. My times dropped off significantly from the MPSC's that I had on prior to the change, but improved the next day and thereafter.

Hey Jeff...
You're a lot more experienced in the DE/AutoX thing than I am, so my impressions may not mean a whole lot. I have heard though that they do need to have a few hundred miles on them before they'll perform well.
My car's almost 100% street, so mine weren't bought for track performance... that being said, even the instructor up at Buttonwillow commented on the grip of the T1R's.
Good luck.

I have T1R's and they perform very well. Trojanman is right, you'll need to get them shaved or 'worn in' prior to seeing any respective results. You don't mention your suspension config. That will def play a role with your potential setup. I have 235 40 18 running 35 cold.
