OT - Sleepless in Seattle?
I'll be up there on business for three days at the end of next week... any locals have suggestions on what I can do with some ample free time?
TIA

Tourist things?
The EMP (Experience Music Project), Space Needle, Harbor Tour, Underground tour, Chuhuli Glass museum all can be visited by buying a tour card. If that is the direction you want to go, I will find out where to get the card.
Other tourist type stuff...Pike Place Market, waterfront stuff.
Hmmm...non tourist stuff?
Lemme think!

I'd also add the "underground tour" from the Old town district (Pioneer square??)
A very interesting history/walking tour that the wife and I did a few years back.
Edit... found a link...

The Duck tour is fun too (old WWII landing craft water and land tour).

Seattle is a beautiful city (love to go back there again sometime).

Or take a plant tour of Boeing...its just north of Seattle (depending on where you staying in Seattle). Reservations at peak times are recommended.
If you are a tool junkie its sometimes interesting to visit the Boeing Surplus Store in Kent. It used to be better but its still fun to see what they have to sell...
Cheers,
Mike

Jeff, which days are you up? I'm just up the hill from Kirkland, I'd be happy to get together and BS. Perhaps some other rennlisters would be interested as well.

Jeff, you'll be in my neighboorhood, and like Dennis said would be interested in meeting up. Here are a few recommendations... some of my favorite places to dine in town:
Seafood: Blu Water Bistro, Fish Cafe, Anthony's Restauant
Steaks: 21 Central
Mexican: Cactus
Italian: Calabrai, Ristorante Paradiso
Pub: Wilde Rover Irish Pub
