Johnny, the door top trim bars usually match the dash color, the fact that your's don't is quite unique. Does that continue all the way to the back deck?

Yes.

My car is very unique. I believe it is much more striking when viewed in the flesh.

Here's a picture of the rear seats.

My only regret is that I really need to worry what I wear in the car as the seats are very light almost champagne white/grey.

Very nice car.

If you look inside the front compartment, I think in the right side, what does it say on the colour name sticker (exterior)? L999 is special order.

Thanks, you asked a very good question. The way I understand it is that the exterior is custom ordered through the exclusive program but using a factory color that was not available in that year. Therefore the exterior color is not a color to sample so it shows the actual color. If this truly is the case I may have the only Midnight Blue 97 TT in the US and/or ROW. That would be cool. I'm also not sure if active model colors are exclusive to each model type or for the entire model designation (993 for example)

We are deviating a bit from the thread about deviated carpets so maybe I should start a new thread about my cars exterior.

The leather on the dash is midnight blue as is the carpet, the lighter color I am not sure if it is a factory dye or a color to sample dye. Is there any way to figure interior leather dye colors?

Two shades of gray on this one and full leather!

You don't see this often. Light colored leather around the gauges and center part of dash.

Cashmere leather and carpets, black dash, cashmere gauge rings.

Sorry for the graininess, iPhone in a dark garage.

Here's my cashmere and black interior. I also changed the shifter and ebrake to black.

My old 993 had classic grey over blue interior, in a midnight blue pearl car. Great combination.
Grey: seats, headliner and door trim.
Blue dash, door cards, carpet and steering wheel if my memory serves right. .
