yee-ha laser jammers installed

Man I hope these things work; I can't be getting any more tickets. Todd at Meyer Emco in Frederick Md., did a great job using automotive epoxy to mount the two front jammers down in the grill and hid the switch under the steering wheel. Can't see anything. Now let's hope the cops can't see me. Just the thought of sticking my finger in the eye of a bureaucrat turns me on.

Im jealous - please let us know how they work. What brand did you buy?

Land Jet 04-11-2007 07:26 PM

I bought the Blinder system from RadarBusters. Only got the fronts, couldn't justify the extra expense for the rear unit. In Md., I believe they shoot from the front and have not heard of any on-ramp, shoot from behind traps. Hope I'm right.

Cool... good luck, when is the test?

Hope you get away with it!

My wings have been clipped for months now due to an overzealous quota system with our local law enforcement...

Do you know what automotive epoxy he used? I bought a Blinder a couple of months ago and am going to install it on my Audi (daily driver) first. If it works well I'll get another for the 993.

Sorry, I didn't ask but the next time I'm over that way I'll check it out.

You aint kidding - the ATL is crawling with cops. Sorry Ed, but I hate driving in atlanta with all the fuzz.

I'm glad you decided to go for it. Let me know how you like them.

Good stuff but I don`t know why you did not get the rear one . Just Monday heading south on I 5 in WA. I got hit by lazer from the rear . Cop were set up on a overpass with their tri-pot lazer hitting you as drove pass and the other state trooper was a couple miles down the road waiting .Btw my lazer jammer indicate direction of lazer (front or rear )

Luckily the system I bought can be added to later if need be. Actually I want to change to a turbo front bumper cover but couldn't wait with the laser install because of the other tickets. :(

So I guess you decided they work after all? IIRC in some earlier posts you were on the fence. What made you pick Blinder vs. Lidatek?

Land Jet 04-12-2007 04:48 PM

I believed the test results on the RadarBuster's site. The guy is an ex-cop so I figure he prolly knows something about radar guns and such. One other rennlister suggested he had a vested interest in the Blinder system but I have no way of knowing that to be true. For that matter, I have no way of knowing if the hype is true either. Guess I'll find out, hopefully by getting a timely warning and avoiding another ticket.
