Default Old and New - Is there any better view?

40 years of evolution....and let me tell you - The GT3 is There's Porsche, and then everyone else, I don't car what anyone says. I'm not discounting other Porsche variants of course but I will say that (personal opinion only) that this is THE best sports car (translation: driver's car) that Porsche makes (as in value for $$) given the choice of the entire lineup today including the forthcoming 997GT2.

Note that I specifically said "the lineup today"! The 993 RS would have been the obvious choice when available. And so there's no misunderstanding, this is not my GT3 but a car we are preparing for a very lucky customer who himself is going to mostly dedicate it to track duty. The car is brilliant there's no two ways about it and as much as I love my own personal 993, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to acquire on these if my budget permitted.

Should probably be posted on the 997 board. Not sure what you're getting at here. Congratulations on your new purchase.

You're right! A GT3 (also the 996 version) is truly a real Porsche and pretty damn awesome car!

Cliff Notes: We surgically implanted a 997S 3.8 X-51 engine and various other goodies in to our Cayman. The twin snout center dump exhaust was our own hand made design as well. GT3 Cup front fascia, 3rd radiator and suspension components to boot....currently fine tuning our REVO ECU. We're at 400hp or thereabouts and with updated software and more Dyno time in store.

The car is incredible. Here's a link to a brief sound clip.
