Removing passenger air vent?
Hi, does anyone know how to remove the passenger side air vent by the door. There is one screw on the side of the unit but its removal doesn't seem to accomplish anything.
I have a squeak/rattle from one of the three fins ( I think ) inside the vent that drives me mad on bumpy roads ( all roads are bumpy in the UK )
Grateful for any ideas on what sort of lubricant to use to cure it aswell.
Thanks

The screw on the side is just holding a trim piece that covers screws for the dash. The vent itself is held in by internal metal clips. If you look into the top of the vent with a flashlight you should see them.

Let us know how sucessful you are in isolating the leak. I have the same that I believe is coming from the vent. I sprayed graphite in there and it worked for a few months but its back again....
