Are they leaking now, the reason they require rebuilding? Any pics?

They are not leaking that I can tell but I have not charged them or anything. The person I bought them from told me they needed to be re-valved. Not sure if that was because of the spring rate issue or other. To be safe, I would assume they would leak.

Approximately what does the rebuild cost?

Sounds like a good deal, John. Sorry to hear the car needs tranny work. What are the spring rates and who manufactured them?

We missed you at Road Atlanta this weekend. What a cool track. It may be my new favorite.

Hey Mark,

Yeah the 73 911 needs some tranny work. I thought it was just the linkage. Should have known better. When I took the car over late last week, all the guys were there with their transporters loading to go. It made me sad. I was going to do Watkins this year, but depending on what the tranny work costs, I may have to pass on that one again too.

BTW, are you coming to Mid Ohio? My daughter asked if you were coming and bringing Rudy.

According to the Bilstein site, it looks like it would be around $175 each. I figure $1200 for freshly rebuilt remote reservoir Bilsteins with you choice of spring rate is a pretty good deal. Not sure what spring rates are on there now. I looked them over and the only thing on them is a HYPERCO sticker.

No MO for me. I'm having Mitch Piper do up a custom cage, so I'll be ready for NASA, if needed, and "13/13-proof". I'll be at the Glen. Two sprints and one enduro. You sure your tranny won't be ready?

Tell your kids I said hi. Rudy says, "Woof!"

My buddy Derek just bought a TRG GT3S car, a 2000lb 3.4 car. It's nuts.
