Default Finally found a new Daily Driver...

...so after months of looking and driving a ton of sedans, I finally picked up a new daily driver 2 weeks ago. Been traveling, so haven't been able to clean her up and get pictures until this weekend. These were taken this morning after a fresh coat of Klasse AIO. Jet-Black BMW 328i sedan, 6MT, sport and premium package.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this little car...it really is a 4 door sports car. And while not quite as fast as the 993, it's pretty damn quick. However, what's really impressive is the suspension...very sporty, yet somehow very "cushy" (how my wife describes it)...it really is amazing how they balance the two.

In any case, thanks for the advice from all the folks on the board, especially the BMW owners in our midst -- in the end we're very happy with our purchase.

Without further ado, here's pics!

cheers,

sean

Nice!

I've been looking for a new daily driver as well.

The 3-series sedan is at the top of my list (also thought about
a MINI).

Your car looks great.

Very nice car. I really like the new 3 series in sedan trim. I got one as a loaner when I had the M3 and it was an impressive means of transportation.

Congrats on your new bimmer. The 3 series are just great cars and achieve a balance that no manufactuer has been able to match.

Great car. The 3 series BMW is IMO one the the best cars made. Does everything very well. Enjoy.

I often regret selling mine. I found it was real Jeckyl and Hyde (in a good way). When driven sedately, it was a luxury car (albeit a little firm, as it had optional factory sports suspension ) but when the hammer came down, the car took on a different personality and became incredibly sporty. The wife loved it as well, and would be happy to trade in the Lexus RX 330 for another 3 series, but it's just a little too small with 2 kids. I'm thinking about the new 5 series wagon (E90) instead. Anyone have any experience with it???

Congrats, Sean. Really nice car. I wonder how many P-car owners also have a bimmer in their garage? Seems like a lot. I have an old 3-series myself.
