RS hood support dimension
So I bought one of the RS hood supports from Gert and now I want to
install it and remove the worn-out hydraulic shocks.
I could install it no problem somewhere.... but i don't want to put it
somewhere. I want to put it where the factory put the hood supports on
the real RS.
I wonder if one of you kind RS owners could measure yours and post
results.
I think I need just two measurements...
Hood front edge to front edge of support hinge
Hood front edge to front edge of clip
Thanks in advance !!!!

Does the rod support the weight of the normal hood? The flimsy part supports the RS hood as it is aluminium. Did Bill do the support rod modification on a standard bonnet?

Thanks ClubSport1. I've been cleaning the interior today... now it's on to the hood support.
It's about 22C or so in bright sunshine and it's a beautiful day in Dallas. I like vacations.

Happy to help
I don't see why the rod shouldn't support a steel hood,,,,,even with the ali hood, it does seem a little precarious resting the rod on the special suspension nut and I would certainly never leave it up like that for long or in any wind...good luck with the drilling
