Default Horn Repair Procedure

The horn doesn't work, so I checked the fuse, none there. replaced with new fuse, turned on the ignition, constant horn.
Is the a simple solution to this problem?
How difficult is it to remove the steering wheel sections to investigate?
I'm particularly concerned about activating the airbag.
Thanks in advance.

Ahhhhhh... another horn pad failure. 4 rubber grommets hold the horn pad retaining ring to the steering wheel base. Those grommets give up over time. Some have replaced their grommets, some have replaced the whole part. I replaced the whole part. "horn grommet" and "horn pad" might also be good search terms if you need more ways to hit this particular problem.

My previous owner removed the fuse too. And several warning lights... and the master warning light... and some other fuses.

>Click me.< I posted my solution on that thread. If the correct horn ring were available for my car I would have purchased it.

After installing a set of RS rear calipers a few months ago, I went out to, you know, check 'em out Low and behold, I get horn at shreshold braking! Nice... I guess this mod is now needed on my car before the next track event!

Sounds like a safety feature - look out, I'm braking!

I'm not Bruce, and there may be a better way, but I will find the thread, go into Thread Tools, and choose email this thread, then grab (cut) the URL, then go back and post a reply, pasting the URL.

Sounds like the PO did what mine did - remove the fuse instead of fixing the problem.
