The shorter ones are for the rear. Make sure you tighten the front ones to 100NM and the rear to 120NM. Use new bolts and the right washers, these M12 bolts can be tightened three times only.
I had the unpleasant surprise to find out that I had lost the rear mount and did not know it, a routine turbo inspection made me see the missing mount. The car was handling like cr@p and I even thought on the track that I had to finally bow to the superiority of the 997TT. The chassis was about 2 inches apart from the subframe, the best way to hit the wall at 150mph.
Get a top notch experienced professional to fit them, trust me on this one.

Phelix you need to get thgem from Porsche Motrosports, in the UK I think Colin (9M) and certainly Phil at Tech 9 can provide you with the parts. They are cup parts, you need 8 of them but I would only install them if my car is a track car or you are experiencing serious squatting and throttle steer or an unstable rear. The mounts change slightly the angle of the subframe setup to improve handling.

Hi Jean,
Thanks for that; just curious to know exactly what's being spoken of. Are they the same as the item on page 71 of the catalogue at www.smartracingproducts.com/rearaxle.htm ?

I've just realised that there are two similar products at http://www.smartracingproducts.com/p...6_rearaxle.pdf
There are solids mounts for the suspension carriage (pn 563013) and then there's a kit (pn 563016) that's the GT2 style tilted mounts.
I'm guessing the former is fine for street use but the latter is for track users?

Viperbob- since you got these parts for me, do you have any comments as to my installation?

Just a small word of caution . I well remember a 993 with solid top mounts that smashed on one side when the car found a severe manhole cover !
Solid stuff is great for the track but maybe not so good for road ??
