Cross-post from the other similar thread ("What's Your Day Job"):
I do environmental consulting for commercial property transactions. If any of you are buying, selling, or refinancing commercial property and the lender requires an environmental assessment, let me know and I'll be glad to help out. There are way more crappy companies doing this stuff than there are good ones, so be careful who you choose or they can screw up your deal royally. My personal motto is to bring some common sense to a field that often has none, and to screw up as few deals as possible.

I'm not a banker or in sales
Since were also including what we do to stay healthy and happy. Grew up surfing in tropics and now I'm subjected to 4+mm neoprene when I am in the water (which is 3-4 times monthly in the winter)
Firearms instructor, shadetree mechanic and can do/or figure out just about anything mechanical. Mid-week drives in the hills is what it's all about.

PM at a major automotive supplier.
I can answer 99.9% of the questions regarding the ABS in our 993's (and most other stability systems). Some I might have to kill you afterwards.
I can also tell you what is in the Porsche line up for the next 3 years, but I'll definitely have to kill you.

I work for the local Municipality for the last 9 years. I review utility installs, development permits, roadway designs, tree installs, backsloping/ shoring plans, etc. to make sure they are to standards and there are no conflicts.
Previously I worked for a large West Coast cable/ communications company as a facilities planner and a drafter for 6 years.
Somewhat boring compared to some of the jobs I've read here, but I'm good at it, and it pays the bills.

Wow, had to go back to post #305 in 2007 to find where I jumped in the first time.
Updates? Not many. Merged/bought out of/had to repossess the vending business, so that's my day-to-day. Really, really, really anticipating my third retirement this summer, and getting some kind of hobby shop going where I can just do what I like--suspension and track prep. Maybe an old air cooled will find its way in for a full ground up restoration. But that would mean I'd have to start painting again. I HATE painting, especially in CA.
Wife's still Bill Pay and Mobile P2P payments product manager for a Really Large Bank.
