Great idea. I live in the Detroit area. I own a computer company that sells the Panasonic line of rugged notebook computers called Toughbooks. These things can be dropped, kicked, rained on, etc. I'd be happy to start a group buy if a bunch of you need a rugged notebook PC.

I'm in chicagoland. I'm a project manager in IT. right now I'm actually looking anywhere where weather is milder in winter for a possible across crountry move. I've started applying today actually via monster board. My current project management contract is over March 31st and being newly single, I am easily able to pick up and relocate to start over somewhere new.

Hi Chris,

We have pretty mild weather here, and NO humidity.

Great tracks abound, and lots of IT jobs (unfortunately, lots of IT folks here too). Give us a chance will you?

Good luck.

I'm a CPA with MBA, over 25 years experience including governmental cost accounting and projects, contract negotiations, etc. Currently, I'm consulting. Would love to find something perm. in the Raleigh NC area. Any ideas would be appreciated.
