Great Idea and I'm late to the game as usual.

I'm a Director of Finance Operations for a Professional Services/Consulting company. What this means is that I run a practice which helps my clients through difficult times in their financial operation. We help our clients to analyzie their challenges and provide solutions to improve their operation and ultimately their bottom line financial results.

More information is available if requested.

Damn, I seem very unqualified, seeing that I dont have a Porsche, and my job title is nearly as fancy as all of yours, but I'll bite.

Work for a discount brokerage firm (Bank of Montreal), so take allot of orders all day and answer questions regarding peoples accounts. Im trying to get my CFA charter, and am scheduled to write my level 2 in June. hopefully this will lead to more exciting opportunities. If anyone needs a finance guy in the Montreal region, please gimme a call, and this is an AWESOME thread!!

Take care guys!!!

I posted earlier. The Linked-In idea is a good one. Just think of the weird connections we could end up with?!

Cheers,

Fine, I guess its time I bite (although I doubt anyone'll find anything useful in my resume)...

Now: Phd - something to do with the socio-poltical-economy of the Middle East. Kindof... (London)
Before: Production Assistant at a BBC-contracted Current Affairs Indie (Israel)
Before that: Researcher at BBC Current Affairs (London)
Before that: Constitutional Politics (Israel)
Before that: Parliamentary Aide (Israel)
Before that: Journalist (London)
Before that: TV News - Reuters UK

At some point within that convoluted mess I managed to pick up two degrees...

Damn... I gotta pick a career...

Nice idea. Interesting jobs people have here.

I am an engineer at Apple, Inc.

On the side, I also review bay area restaurants.

Geez, I feel stupid reading some of these career posts.
Some smart SOB's here, I on the other hand know just enough about alot of things to be dangerous
My good fortune has come from a little knowledge (see previous comment), a great deal of dumb luck timing, and a wife with a good steady income that allowed me the opportunity to realize how to put my limited knowledge to good money making use.
I am a type "A" personality with limited patience and even less attention span Somehow, though it all seems to work for me.

But I digress, bravo to all you with real educations. I'd be Donald Trump if I was just a little less of all the above issues

I've represented a major life insurer and registered investment advisory firm for a long time.

I had plans to retire early, but the P car habit wasted that idea.....!
