Talking oops..at the track

Just thought I'd share a few pics from my last DE day. Nothing damaged but my pride. This was the result of cold tires, on a cold day, & trying to keep up with my buddy in his 997S (must be nice to have PSM on a cold track)!

Wow, glad to see everything turned out alright in the end. What an amazing set of photographs. How close were you to that tire barrier in front of you to the left?

Ahhh, turn 12... I had two people loose it in front of me at PIR, one in turn 12 (`87 Turbo LTO?) and one in the festival turns

Ooooh, BTDT, Brian. Glad to see you didn't kiss that tire wall. Yup, cold tires + cold track = more attention!!! Bruised egos are a learning tool.

Craig, whoa!!! I hope you saw him coming around early. Yikes!

Thanks, I was about 10ft from the tires. Definetly scary stuff, but it was a great lesson. My wife took the pics, she realized there was nothing she could do, so she snapped away. It's nice having my own Photographer (she's starting a photography business).

Sooner... great shots by your wife! I wish she would've been around when I was there. Were you at the DE following Parade?

Brian -

That series of photos should constitute an official application to the HWFM Racing team.

Thanks for sharing.

We were at the Friday DE after Parade. My wife was only there for 1 of my runs & a couple of other groups though. I have about 170 pics (mostly of me & a good friend). PM me a description of your car & I can see if I have any of you.

I don't know about the HWFM team app. The early photos show way to much concern for hitting the apex for the app to be successful. Remember, there is a lot of track out there, all payed for!

One of the team mottos is

"Why procrastinate? Apex early!"

I like it Mike. Brian, glad it worked out and you didn't bang her up. A character building experience I'm sure. You should submit those pictrues to Panorama or someone. Very professional.

Sooner >> How many laps did you get in before the spin? What kind of tires did you have on?
Thanks.

Take the second photo, blow it up, frame it and put it on your wall. Dump the rest.

Tell everyone you were practicing for an upcoming drifting event...
