Call me stupid - but I just bought a car with 151K (good rum) and i can't find any noticable side effects from "valve guide fatigue" on this car. I will be at Callas' tech session in Dec. but for right I beleive i purchased a tight car, although not alot of history to support any theory described above. Will these cars run like lightening even with valve guide problems?

I think the guides have to be REALLY bad before there's a big loss in performance...
