license plate removal
hi all,
I've been sniffing around the archives but cant seem to find any DIY guide as to how to remove the front license plate. Anyone got some tips on this?

Run it through the car wash and they will remove it for you.
Really, I thought it just screws off.

It just unscrews and then you can remove the threaded inserts and install Bumper Plugs for a really clean look.
The pix shows my bumper cover after removal of the license plate and before I installed Bumper Plugs.
The plugs are available in factory colors for about $30.00 at BumperPlugs.com.
Good Luck

Just lightly drop something on your front bumper, then tell your wife its damaged and you need to replace the front bumper; this way it will be brand new and the bumper of your choice!! Good luck convincing your wife (I'm assuming you have one). LOL
Unscrew and bumper plugs, that's all.

The screws just expand some tabs on the square plastic mounting posts that grip the back side of the bumper cover. Take the screws all the way out and and the tabs will contract enough to be able to work the post off the front of the cover.
