i thought it meant installing non-functional upgrades to the car so as to make it 'look' like something it isin't...ie...turbo wing?

I plan on installing a turbo wing on my NA simply because I am experiencing instability around 150 mph due to my engine tray delete. So it's not "non-functional"

When I was a teenager cruising in my best friend's Mom's way cool Chevy Impala convertible (said his cousin 'slump down a bit, it makes it look like a sports car'), I saw a real poseur - a guy with ski racks (and skis!) on his car; and we knew he didn't even ski.
Man, that was way back (late '60s). All those cruisers are pumping up the muscle car market now, I suppose (I prefer Porsches).
