In the 10 weeks I've driven this car, it has been plagued with an aggravating, loud " craunch - craunch" from the rear on every very low speed maneuver - like parking, entering the garage, etc. This has driven me nuts trying to locate the source
- and I've put a pry bar or second floor jack on everything that could possibly move without success.
Found the problem this AM - the left rear subframe bolt appeared tight - but with some pressure, it released and went in another 1 1/2 turns ( ~2mm) - torqued it to 88 ft.lbs, and voila - the suspension is rock solid ..... and silent!
If you have any creaking noises, it may be worthwhile to visit the front & rear subframe bolts.

The bolt is a M12x1.5 with a 17mm head - there are four in total securing the rubber isolation mounts in the two side subframes. Torque is 88 ft.lbs .. the left rear is shown.
