Old Westbury Great Marques CONOURS- *CANCELLED*
(After all my friggin' work ...(a month's work of 'full concours' preparation) 
)
Not David's fault.... so pls. adjust your responses accordingly.
(All the registered 'entrants' got this email this morning - The event was scheduled for Sept. 10th.)

Dear all,
I regret to inform you that the BMW club had canceled the Great Marques Concour Event.
This puts me in a very difficult situation.
I am still considering running a POrsche only event for this day as a substitute but this last minute notice from the BMW club leaves me without trophies, handouts or money (all of your checks are made out to the BMW club).
I will do my best to salvage this event but I have to admit, I don't think I will have enough time.
I will speak to the board asap and ask for help.

I hope something can be salvaged. I really like going to these events. Can you still use the OWG space without BMW? If not, maybe Eisenhower Park? Wantagh Park? I'm not too familiar with LI, but I've been to events at those places.

No way! That really sucks. Was looking forward to seeing you carry that trophy.
Any idea why they cancelled??
EDIT: Looks like your efforts may have not been wasted...yet.
Checked the NY BMWCCA website and here's what I got...
"Due to unforeseen lack of financial & logistical support from our past sponsors, the Great Marques at Old Westbury Concours, scheduled to take place on Sunday, Sept 10th 2006 has been postponed. Please check the NY Chapter web site and future issues of the newsletter for rescheduling information. The NY Chapter board sincerely regrets any inconvenience this may cause and is working to rectify this problem. "
