Wilmington NC (lower PCA Hurricane region's) first drive as a group
Having a region as spread out as we are, those of us in the Wilmington and surrounding areas decided to put a sub chapter together under PCA's Hurricane region. We wanted a way to be active without having to re-invent the wheel. We have had 3 meeting thus far, with pretty good results so far (10-15 cars) per meet. Today we had our first activity......a simple ride south to Southport (coastal town) from Wilmington. There we stopped for a waterfront photo op. and quick break and then we headed north to Lake Waccamaw for lunch and our "formal" monthly meeting. A great time was had by all (even with the oppressive heat and 2 cars with NO A/C!.....real troopers

Congrats. Great pics! My first PCA event was a group ride several years ago involving 115 p-cars in a four hour jaunt through the rolling hills an hour north of Tampa. Memories of that day still vivid. All cars mande it home intact save one. We were met at the county line by the Pasco Co. sheriff and kindly asked to not return. What a ride!
