Not sure on the hours, like I mentioned I just worked on it in my free time on the weekends. Considering I already work 50 hours a week at my real job during the day (I’m a mechanical engineer), and then several more hours each week working on other cars, in addition to having a social life, I didn’t have too many hours to put into this car.

The cost differential between this car and a stock 993TT just happens to be a bonus, since the question was posed. If it were strictly a matter of economics, I wouldn’t have started with this car (or any german car) to begin with.

David, I'll try and get a vid of it next weekend since I probably won't have time this weekend. 9M heads are probably not in the budget right now, need to worry about forged 8:1 pistons, rods, head studs, etc, first.

Thanks to all the others for the compliments. Just went home at lunch to take it for a drive before the rain moves in since I hadn't driven it for a few days. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Actually the 9M heads comment was aimed at one of the other posters. I don't think Colin has tried them on a turbo yet?

David, I do have a few vids of the car, I'll work on getting something uploaded.

I haven't taken the car to the dyno yet, I'll probably do it in the spring as I will probably be doing some more mods over the winter.

Thanks for posting. What are your thoughts re the drivetain when a NA 993 is turbo or super charged? By that I mean are the drive shaft and/or tranny up to a sig increased output? Or are steel syncros all you need?
