#3 195 4%
#4 190 6%

Car not driven very much, would you walk away from a one cylinder off read like this? Probably just carbon?
Need advice guys..
Thanks,

If it is 12% or under, I would not walk away. I would look at the remainder of the PPI results, including compression tests of that cylinder. Also ask where the leakage was happening in that cylinder (they did listen for it I hope). I assume the car was well warmed up to operating temp when the LD test was done.

If you really like the car and are still concerned about the leakdown you could have the owner drop some techron into the tank and have him drive the car hard for a few hours. Could loosen up the carbon deposit and get the last cylinder in line.

Well, if the car was closer (Cali car, I'm in Michigan) than I'd probably be a lot more excited, BUT, if you factor in that the car needs new rear tires, brakes, unknown LD problem in #6 cylinder which is more than likely due to carbon... all these things kind of add up on the cost meter. This is not even mentioning taxes, PPI cost, and transportation cost. It's starting to add up, and I'm a little older and wiser than I use to be. I would have bought without question 4-5 yrs ago. Thanks for the Rennlist for the knowledge it has provided me!!
I'll make a new offer and see if the owner goes for it, if not the hunt continues, hopefully for a Rennlister car.

Where's she leaking from. Valve guide job isn't fun, replacing oval jugs even less so..

Have you had anyone in our community here go and have a look at the car. There certainly are plenty of listers in CA. If it were close to me I'd take a look.

I'll ask tomorrow where he thinks the leak was coming from.
