I've never heard this before. Polar silver is one of the best colours for showing off the curves of the cars and a lot car designers favour silver for this reason as well (e.g. Audi). Silver was the traditional German racing colour though it tended to me a more manly Arctic Silver. Think Mercedes and Auto Unions. Perhaps being silver, automatic and a convertible they mistook your car for a Boxster!

My car is arctic silver and might not have entirely the same effect, but since getting the car six years ago I have noticed myself staring at other men's ***** a bit more at the mall. I also frequently drop my towel in the changing room at the gym. If I'd bought polar silver, I'm sure the effects would be even more pronounced.

Actually, in the International Racing Colors used by the FIA until sponsor liveries became popular, WHITE was the original German racing color, The Mercedes SSKs being called the "White elephant". Silver became prominent by accident, again caused by Mercedes. When cars used to have a weight "MAXIMUM", and Mercedes came in overweight, one of the weight reduction efforts was to remove the paint and expose the bare aluminum.
