Drove it without the crest today. I really noticed better throttle response and acceleration now that my hp/weight ratio is much improved !!
Maybe crestless is the way to go after all...

Got it! BTW, tacking it with super glue is the key here.

I saw a debadged 997 today in Palo Alto. no crests, no "carrera", all black.

definitely bitchin'.
