I locked one of my own threads a couple of days ago--actually by accident (the PCA Car Badge thread). I went back to edit my original post (#1 in the thread) and saw the lock box. I must have accidentally clicked it and when I editted the post to say I was taking it off, it became locked. I couldn't find an option to unlock it again, so I just let it go.

So, in my case, it was a self-imposed lock.

You can unlock by going back to the "thread tools" option at the top and clicking on the drop down arrow.

Yeah, I read that above, but I guess now it's not worth unlocking.
