Default FS: DAS Rollbar for 993

This Saturday I will be pulling out the DAS rollbar from my 993. If anyone is interested in buying it, please let me know. I'm selling it for $600, but I do prefer to sell it to someone here in SoCal first. Thanks in advance.

Adam,

I can post pics when I get home later. Thanks. The color is black, and I believe all 993/964 DAS rollbars are in the 50 lb range.

Adam,

The DAS is a pure bolt-in rollbar (with the exception of the one for cabs as those require some drilling). I had someone install it for me because I'm pretty impatient when it comes to certain DIYs!!! So, for our coupes there isn't any cutting required.

Nope, there isn't any cutting required and that's one of the reasons the DAS rollbar is so desirable. It also meets PCA & POC track requirements, so that's a good thing. I didn't have to remove anything in the back to install this bar. I'm not sure about the sub boxes you are referring to since I've never seen one in our cars.

Actual weight on a DAS bar for a coupe is 65 lbs.

Rich, are you selling your car or discontinuing DE's??

Mark,

Thanks for the correction on the weight! For the moment, I'm discontinuing track events. I'm committed to a lot of family events right now, so the track stuff is taking a back seat for the time being. I'll be back, though. In the meantime, I want to this time to take my kids for drives in the 993 while they can still fit back there! Thanks for asking, Mark.

They that young (and capable of residing in the back seat) that keeping it is not an option? If you plan to be back, almost wouldn't seem worth selling.

Rich,

Glad to hear you're not selling and will still be on the board!

If I had planned on tracking the 993, then you would be correct. However, ideally, I'd like to get a dedicated track car like an SC or Carrera.

I weighed mine last year and got 53 lbs. I hope it's not my scale or else I'm a lot fatter than I thought...
