Default Anyone know this car?

A friend of mine is thinking about either a brand spanking new
997/depreciating asset - OR a 993 wide body, preferably C4S - If I was him I'd be looking at a 993 twin turbo, but that's another story...

He sent me this link http://www.sloancars.com/vs1/detail.asp?CarID=107 with a view to going for a short drive to take a look at it this weekend.

Does anyone know this car - maybe done a ppi already? It looks nice, but price seems a little on the high side...($10k-$15k more and he's in TT territory). For that money I would think we should be looking at a super low miles C4S, rather than just low miles. Or would I have to be on crack to think that?? It's just been years since I actually bought my 993, and I know many of you are fresh off a recent purchase/hunt and might be able to offer some insight...

Matt,

If he like Arean Red, he can have Waldo for almost the same money. No brainer in my book.

That's actually a decent price (probably a tad high) esp. for Sloan. Seems like a very nice example.

Seems like a reasonable price to me. You ought to searches here on Sloan, lots of info on him and his cars. Personally I love that color combo.

Yeah, I know loads about Richard Sloan, which is why I feel the need to ask for any inside info I can get about this car before bothering to take a look at it...

Looks a lot like my car - OBM, etc. Mine has grey leather and sport seats, though, with deviating MN blue carpet.

Frankly, I wouldn't sell my car for 54k (and have had higher unsolicited offers), so the ask does not seem unreasonable IF THE CAR IS AWESOME. Try to bargain lower, of course, and make sure the car is as it should be, etc. Get a really good PPI, obviously. Read a lot about Sloan on thsi site....

OB is an awesome color.

Oops, I missed it, but thanks for pointing it out. I'll pass it along.
Of course, it's a pity Rufus isn't for sale...

Stedge, would you mind sharing how many miles on your car?

Thanks.
