Default Brake caliper refinish question:

Small favor; can someone tell me what the size of the lettering is on the calipers?
I don't have my car here and I want to order the stencil to letter once I finish re-painting. There is a choice of sizes hence the question.

TIA

Both of the front and rear are 3" in length. If they are using the correct eps file format released by the Porsche maketing department then they would be able to get the ratio correctly when they enlarge it to 3"

Thanks. You mean the letter height?

The length of the entire Porsche logo is 3"

Here is a link to download the original Porsche logo file, if you have a program that can open EPS files you should be able to stretch the logo to 3" in length and the height would be porportionally corrected automatically to the 3" length.

Rich Calnan is the decal man. Ask for 3"x.25" lettering.

FWIW, instead of sticking on the decals, the method I used was to use the sticker as a stencil with the Porsche letters as cut outs. I then sprayed 3 layers of high temperature white paint. After 4-5? years, the white color is still very white and no fade or chips.

If I had Robin's talents, I too would have painted them on. With my talents, I was lucky not to mess up the decals!
