Default Is anyone running 19" Lobster Claws on a NB?

I know many people don't care for the 997 lobster claw wheels but they've kind of grown on me since I saw that photo of this white RS floating around.
Plus they can be had cheap.

Anyway, these are advertised to fit narrow body 993's, but the 11" rears make me nervous. Here are the specs: 19 X 8 with 57mm offsets front and 19x11 with 67mm offset rear.

I'm guessing I'd run a 245 in front and a 295 in rear. I am going to need a second set of wheels in Germany and would like to make my current Twists my winter set.
...I wouldn't even like these wheels if it weren't for this picture...

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Leland,

I posted that pic over a year ago when I found it on another forum. I thought then as I think now: they look soooooo nice

Had I not got a great deal on my RH's I would have gotten a set of these

It's all about personal taste!

They look like something from Spacely's Sprockets, or Coswell Cogs...

(Lobster claws?? Never heard them called that!.)

I really like those wheels, too. Many here dislike them, but I think they look great! Are you looking at the ones on Ebay?

To each his own. I was watching that set on eBay today. I've seen a set go for about $1200 which it s pretty good deal for factory wheels. I just worry about that rear offset on an 11" wheel. If I knew more about that white ca4 it would help. Like how much camber he's running ...are the fenders rolled ...is he using coilovers.

I've heard of other people running 11's under NB fenders, but I'm sure it is really offest sensitive.

11" ET67 should fit w/ your fenders rolled as it's only a net increase of 10-11mm, although whether you can fit 295s will probably depend on the tire brand/profile. My 285s fit with my fenders slightly rolled and my offset is less than those (ie more aggressive). Also as others have found, there are asymetrical clearance differences from side to side on some cars, so you should check to see how symetrical your current set-up is.

Does Porsche make an OEM 18" Lobster Claw? or would you have to go with a knock off?

Hey, Mr Texas.... does your 997 have these wheels? You, sir, are in a unique position since you own both a 993 and 997. If you get bored one day, please feel free to see if those wheels fit on your 993.
