Default Mobil 1 coupon in Kragen's 2006 calendar

I don't know what the going rate for mobil 1 is at walmart or other discount places but Kragen (at least the one in La Crescenta) has calendars for $1 that include a coupon to purchase up to six quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic for $3.99 per quart with a maximum of 6 per coupon. Bad news is only useable during the month of August 2006. Still good price. Not as good as the pep boys calendars from last year but I checked this years pep boys calendar and no good stuff. I bought three calendars myself.

Last years Pep Boys calendars were great. I think it worked out to about $2.80 out the door for a quart of Mobil One. I have 120 quarts of 0-40w on my garage shelves. Seven out of the eight cars in my family use it and at 5000 miles change intervals it won't last long.

Last years Pep boys calendar was worth at least a two year subscription to Rennlist. I need 12 for the 993 and 8 for the 540 per oil change. Anyone know of any other good deals out there?

Here is one way. Open a corporate account with NAPA and they can give you a discount. I am getting my oil there at 4.99 a quart. Not as cheap as 3.99 but still a discount.

I don't know Chuck. Sounds pretty good to me. You adopting 32 year olds with car obsessions? Looks like you've got good taste in cars.

I guess the grass is always greener. Sounds to me like Chuck could buy a 997 with his annual car insurance payment.....I hear his insurance agent is driving a ferrari spyder!

This will serve as a reminder to those who bought the calendar at my suggestion. This is the month to use your coupons. I just bought 18 quarts of 15w-50 from the Kragen in La Crescenta for $3.99 per. The funny thing is that both times I bought oil the register clerk wondered aloud whether she should charge me $3.99 for all the oil I was buying.

I may see if they have more calendars so that I can buy more. My garage is starting to look like a mini-version of Chuck's garage (sans the pig of course)!
