I need one and have settled on the Paul Guard 40/60 unit. Another member ('95 993) is considering installing an LSD in his car.

I asked direction from the "gurus" and their answer is unaminous. The Guard unit.

So if others want to get into a GB, speak up now.

List price is $2200 AFAIK and installation is about 12 hours labour (according to a Porker tranny spec in EU)

I passed up a brand new one on ebay once for 750 USD. Never again! I'm in if the price is right, it would gimme a chance to run down to ViperBob's during Sebring.

Is the Guard LSD unit supposed to be far superior to a torque-biasing Quaife LSD?
They seem to say so in their website.........Who can vouch for that?
(I can get a Quaife LSD for a 993 for around $1150).
Count me in for the Guard LSD @ around $1600 max.

I can't say enough about Rich and Jerry Woods Racing. They do excellent work, are awesome to deal with, and work closely with Paul Guard. They are local to you as well....can't ask for more. They did my LSD and I love it.
