I don't know how much more I can take
Don't stop now George, I still don't think you have all the items that were on your "Wish List" from last Christmas when you came by the shop. What about the LWF? . Just teasing. Take care my friend....

Very impressive!

You might want to check your oil level tho' ...from one of the pix -- it looks like the engine is on (the temp gauge and oil pressure gages are 'working') - - and the oil level indicator is on/slightly above red.

Car looks great. What was the lead time to get the leather and have the seats made up?

You know I was going to switch to a silver hood badge but I decided not to due to the crest on the steering wheel and seats being gold as well. I wanted to keep up the continuity.

Wow.......Let's see.....I bought the seats towards to end of Feb. and I just got them about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Porsche Germany had a hell of a time getting the leather to Recaro. As they say, "patience is a virtue" and I think it was well worth the wait.

Again, many thanks to ALL for the inspiration and kind words

George,

Excuse my ignorance for this question, but why did the leather have to come from Porsche? Doesn't Recaro have the same quality of leather and/or wouldn't the color match? Also is the back of the seat a hard back plastic shell like the OEM sports seats and, if so, could they be painted?

Also, I am 6'5" and wear 46/48 size suits. Do you think the side bolsters near the top of the seat will be too narrow for me? Are there any locations in the US where you can see these seats in person?

Again, sorry for all the questions. I am like a 5 year old who asks a 1,000 questions.

Thanks

Rob

what it up with the grey rubber rings around the gauge bases? Is it a mod, or are they getting that white hard texture?

Other then that... (can I have your seats??) ;-)
