LOOK! RAIN DATE POSTED ON P. 6! Baltimore/DC/NoVa Meet & Drive 10:00AM, Sat., Oct 22
Mark your calendar for another vaunted Rennlist Meet and Drive! We plan to meet in Timonium, MD at 10:00AM at the Staples Shopping Center parking lot, directly across from the Maryland State Fairgrounds, and right next to the Krispy Kreme (2129 York Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 410-308-3576). We’ll check out all of the cars, meet some new friends, catch up with old ones, talk Porsches and see who bought those latest must-have, triple-milled, carbon fiber-wrapped, NASA balanced, beryllium lock washers.
Valley Motors, our local Porsche dealer, is right around the corner, so if there are any interesting machinery lurking about, we may zip on over and scare the crap out of the sales people.
We’ll then head north and cruise through some of Maryland’s finest twisty roads for a good 45 minutes to an hour. This is going to be an epic drive through upper Baltimore County that will take us near the Gunpowder State Park/Prettyboy Reservoir area. If you’ve been hankering for a drive, this is the one to do!
We’ll finish up the drive by looping back down and having a delicious brunch at City Crab and Seafood (410-339-6300) at 2360 W. Joppa Road in Timonium, MD 21093. Slight change in plans. City Crab and Seafood has changed over to Mick and Tony's. Ownership has remained the same, but the menu has changed and has expanded over the previous offering. Same phone number and address.
Sound like fun? If you’re interested in this get-together, please post here and let me know if you’re coming for the meet, the drive, the eat or some combination of the three. It’ll help me get a head count estimate for the restaurant.
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone! If you have any questions, post them here.
(Directions to the Staples Shopping Center: Timonium is just north of I-695, the Baltimore Beltway, and off of I-83. Take exit 16A off of I-83. You will be on Timonium Road. Go through three lights. At the third light, you will make a left, which will lead you onto York Road. Go for about 1/4 mile and look for the Krispy Kreme on the right. You can either hang a right right into KK or keep on going a bit further and make a right into the Staples shopping center. A Blockbuster Video will be at the corner. If you see a Mars Supermarket, you’ve gone waaay too far. I’ll try and stage cars right near the road so it’ll be even easier for people to find. Still confused? Yahoo.com will set you free with its point-to-point map directions.)

Peter, great, where are you coming from? Nearer the time we will arrange a meeting place depending on how many others join us.
Mark....how far do you estimate the meeting place is from the place we met up in May?

I can do the Rockville drive up there as well. I'm coming from Silver Spring, so its usually 29N. It sounds like your route is a lot more entertaining.
From Columbia it would just be 95N to timonium right?

Great! I can't wait. I have been eagerly anticipating this years fall renn-drive for a long time. Finally my car is all set to go. AC works (dont need it anymore though!), car is stiffer, battery cables make the car actually work 100% right, and two weeks prior is the big German concours in our area. I am doing a very special job on my car this year. After all this, i just wanna drive! All day!

I will try to be there for the meet. The rest of the day might be booked. Gotta bring the guards red representation to add some color to the sea of silver and black.

You go the opposite of me....Georgia-Norbeck-Ednor-Layhill-Browns Bridge-Lime Kiln-216-29N-Johns Hopkins-Old Columbia-Work.....I generally go to work between 6:30 and 7 and do the return journey sometime between 4:30 and 6....great roads....providing you dont get behind somebody....really like the section of Lime Kiln where you go left and down the hill, through the trees up the incline to the right hander, down through the left hander and back up again through the right hander then blast down the long straight...
I will look out for you what are your tags.....me Black 993 with Porsha9
