Light In Header Falls Out
I've searched to no avail.
In my new-to-me 96 C4 Cab, I've noticed that the entire light unit in the center of the front header falls out and dangles by the wires when the convertible top is being closed or the car hits a bump/pothole. I'm able to push it back up, but it will only remain there until the next bump.
Is there suppose to be a clip or other retainer to keep it in place or is it simply a friction fit?
TIA
[edit] -- I'll throw this story in as an aside--this past weekend was my first weekend with the car. As I pulled into a gas station to fill up, a lady approached me and asked what kind of car it was. I told her it was a Porsche and she says, "Oh, okay, I didn't know what the 'Carrera 4' was. It's so cute!".
ARRRRGGG. Cute?? I don't want "cute".
She then starts telling me a "Porsche Joke" and as we does her purse is rubbing on my door. She is swaying back and forth and I can't help but stare at her purse wondering if some unseen metal clasp is rubbing on my paint.
Thankfully it wasn't, but my heart skipped a beat.
..... I think I need to relax. Hehe

there have been posts on this ages ago... problem is quite common. what i did... took a very tiny piece of adhesive (dbl sided 3m) foam & placed it on the edge of the plastic light unit making it a bit wider so it could hold. it has now been in place for almost three years easy fix.
bol & congrats on the cab.

As for the cute remark; I have found that the hotter the girl calling the car cute the easier it is to take the cute comment.
