Is this a DIY item???
During a resent DE event, I noticed the rubber boot connection between the heater blower intake and the main engine fan is split open and cracked.( I apologize for the vague desciption. I would post a photo, but I do not have one and have no idea how to upload a photo.) The rubber tube piece appears to just slip onto the heater blower side, similar to the way the clutch vent tube connects to the air filter cover. But, the connection to the engine fan shroud looks like it could be a PITA.
My questions are:
A. Does my word picture make any sense?
B. Is this a PITA to replace, or could a moron with a wrench(me) replace it?
As always, thanks for the help.

Very easy to replace. The tube side kind of slips on, with a little ridge it fits over. The engine side has a couple of bolts, that you can just loosen rather than remove to free the part.

Don's first, since he posted the question, but come to think of it, my old one is available for the cost of shipping. It's in perfect condition and I only replaced it with the 964 version, which is required to mate with the RS heater bypass tube.

Thanks, Kelly!
I looked it up at Pelican and it gave me a 964 part number. Good thing the thread you've referenced contains the 993 number (strangely, all other digits are the same).

Mike,
When you stop by tonight, remind me to show you my new rubber boot. It is the second one I have ordered. The early build MY95 use the 964 part number, the neck is a bit shorter than the 993 part number which you find in late build MY95 and beyond.
If you order the part for a MY95, PET will give you the 964 number. If you have a MY95, it is worth the time to take it off and check the part number on the inside of the hood - then you are sure top get the right one. The part, including shipping from Sunset, cost $32.98.
