Default Polished Gauge Rings Installed

For those RL members awaiting their group buy polished gauge rings; here are some photos of my completed install. I like the look alot; its sublte and makes the gauges stand out more. Well worth the money

As for the install; I initially tried using double sided tape to mount these things but its too thick so the ring will not sit flush with the gauge. Plan B: I used 3M spray adhesive http://www.3m.com/us/mfg_industrial/...aerosols.jhtml

Spray some of the adhesive onto the gauge ring and mount onto gauge right away; the product sets really quick. Don't worry if you get adhesive residue everywhere. It cleans really easy with 3M adhesive remover. The adhesive allows the gauge rings to sit flush with the gauge.

Not to change the subject, but, the lights in your gauges look much brighter than mine. Did you replace them with something different or does it just look that way in the pic? The rings BTW look awesome

John:

No change in the gauge lights. Pic taken during the day so maybe thats why they look brighter.

Those look great, especially with the black interior.

Does anyone have any pictures of them in a tan interior?

How do you guys think a few drops of silicone would work to hold these on? Does the manufacturer recommend anything in particular to mount them?

Cheers;
Eric

I have them, mounted them. The maunfacturer mentioned silicone as a possibility.

Wow, they look great. If one was interested in purchasing a set how should they go about getting them?

Those look really nice, it looks like they just fit to the inside of the original bezel is that correct? I've seen other brands that cover the whole bezel inside & outside and they look kind of bulky but I haven't seen them in person. Your gauges look good in the pictures and I can tell I would like them in person also. Thanks, Doug

Don,
Did you get them on the group buy? If so... that's pretty quick, I hope I get mine tomorrow! They look really classy.
