Default Sachs Clutch Kit on Ebay.....Opinions please.

This complete clutch kit includes:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33730
SACHS OEM Pressure Plate (Made in Germany)

SACHS OEM Clutch Disc (Made in Germany)

SACHS OEM Release Bearing (Made in Germany)

SACHS OEM Release Bearing Kit (Made in Germany)

SACHS OEM grease pack (Made in Germany)

Genuine Porsche Part #: 993 116 911 01

Genuine SACHS Clutch Kit Part #: K70126-01-14

Price on Ebay is 475.00, I know that most people will recomend the LWF & RS Clutch, I want to keep my 993 as close to Virgin as possible and since I dont intend to Track it, (yet) I thought this may be the ideal solution, obviouslly for 475.00 it seems to be a good deal.
I would rather buy it from a sponsor if it is available, any coments on this offer.
TIA....FF

You should also consider changing the flywheel, even with a new dual-mass OEM flywheel, while you are in there. These are known to fail and since you will be incurring labor to get to the clutch anyway, the marginal cost of install will be nothing. If you add the cost of the flywheel, how far off would you be from a sposor priced lwf kit?

I actually don't think its possible to change the flywheel to a single mass without changing the clutch to an RS type. I may be wrong but that's the way I had understood it.

I think that the cost is very close. ViperBob is the man to talk to. They (Devek) had an awesome special at X-mas for the LWFW and RS clutch package. $1100 or so, if I recall correctly.

I think a stock dual mass flywheel is between $600-$900 by itself. That's reason enough for me to get a LWF, which runs in the $300 range. I don't track my car anymore, but the LWF is definitely the nicest bang for buck upgrade I've done yet.

Question

On Ebay, they give this part number: K70126-01-14, for the whole clutch kit.
But, on the SACHS Performance website it shows up as: 999752 999973.

How many Sachs kits are there for the 95 porsche 993 c2? Can somebody shed some light on all the available SACHS kits, and what their official website is?

Also, if you order from sunset (or any Porsche dealership), do you get a genuine Porsche part? Does SACHS make it? If so which one is it? What is the official SACHS part number I should be looking for?

Finally, what originally came in my car (from the factory)?

Any info would help.

Cheers,

That is already a good deal. But have you tried checking out other sources? Here, try checking up this Sachs clutch dealer. They should give you a good deal as well or a better one perhaps.

I was led to believe that the DMF failures occurred on the 964s and these were mfg'd by another company (not LUK).
