That's my point...I have seen 1996 and even 1997 cars without the "varioram" engraved, although I know the new induction system was available since 1996...I think they started engraving on the 1997 made 1998 model year...I'm not sure though...every time I see a 1996 model car, the manifold has no cast...do the 1995 made (1996 model year) had it already? I'd like to know the earlier vin# with the Varioram present...

Thanks for the feedbacks regarding market...as far as sources...I always buy my P cars from enthusiasts like yourselves...there's no substitute!usually well maintained and cared for cars...I'll be in the market in June and I'll check both Rennlist and Pelicanparts BBS before getting to the mainstream marketplace...

1996 and above = Varioram = Big shiny aluminum thing on the engine. Regardless of whether or not it says "varioram". Yes, Arrwin you have varioram.

And as for "books available upon purchase," I'm with OldGuy. He needs to show you this upfront, because I've SEEN dealers lie about this with a 993 before. "Sure we have the books, sign here please. Thanks for signing. Oops sorry we can't find the books." This is a major red flag.
